Dear Gearographer: Fitness Equipment

Dear Gearographer,

Every garage sale I’ve been to has work-out stuff like a weight bench, a treadmill or an elliptical machine in the yard. I was thinking of starting to work out; do you think I should buy used fitness stuff at a garage sale?

Dear Tubby,

First of all; weight benches, treadmills and elliptical machines are called fitness equipment. Work out stuff consists of things like those big bouncy balls or the famous Thigh Master. As far as fitness equipment goes, did you know that the majority of all sales of these things are in December for gifts and January during the New Year’s resolution season? You probably didn’t know that because I just made it up but it does make sense. Most of this stuff is on sale by the springtime garage sale season. I suggest you buy new equipment so you will have a nice new elliptical machine to hang your coats and laundry on.

Sincerely,
Gearographer
